Mayor Jopet leads Project W.A.T.C.H. school launching in Barangay Tipo

HERMOSA, Bataan – Hermosa Municipal Mayor Jopet Inton on Monday graced the Simultaneous Kick-Off Launch of Project W.A.T.C.H. at Tipo Elementary School in Barangay Tipo in this first-class municipality.

The event was attended by Department of Education officials, Dr. Boyet Castaneda (representing Congresswoman Geraldine B. Roman), and village chiefs Judy Ramon of Barangay Tipo and Eric Nicolas of Barangay Roosevelt (Dinalupihan).

Project W.A.T.C.H., which means “We Advocate Time Consciousness and Honesty”, is pursuant to the Administrative Order No. 255 and Presidential Proclamation no. 1782, which were both signed by then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2009 declaring the month of June as “W.A.T.C.H. Month.”

The project aims to strengthen the values of punctuality and honesty in the Department of Education. DepEd also issued Memorandum No. 410 series of 2009 that served as guideline on this project.

The major goal of this program is to push forward of the recognition of punctuality and honesty as two core values in promoting renewal and development.
Project W.A.T.C.H. is a joint values advocacy movement of the JCI Senate Philippines, DepEd, Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU) with an “objective to inculcate to the Filipino youth the value of Punctuality and Honesty in the development and productivity of our nation.”
